A new Friend

NEW FRIEND

One day while I was playing games in Taizé with my group, when one girl introduced to me one boy called Jeremiah. Before then, we use to speak to each other because the out friends are friends too. He was really nice. He was patient, sympathetic, optimistic and the most important he was responsible. I wasn't alone any time, because I was with he. He's become a very dependable friend and an eager psychologist!! I'm really happy with my new friend.

Personal opinion:
I really like this film. I like it because I  like the romantic films and this is one. The plot I think is really appropriate because is a reminder and tribute for the people who was died. The characters have their role very good, but I really like the beautiful boy, Leonardo DiCaprio. When I saw the movie, I loved me so excited that I wanted to go deeper into the subject, for example how many people were exactly, who was the captain, etc

ITALY

Hi I’m Maria Planas and now I’m going to explain my trip to Italy.

Two weeks ago, my classmates, Jordi Mossoll, Anna Vilà and I went to a trip to Italy. We went to the Barcelona Airport and we went to Milan. We started the trip in the school at 5.30. It was such a morning because we took planes and we got up really early. We took the plane to Milan Malpensa and we arrived at 10.30 more or less. When we landed, we took a bus and we went to Sirmione and the Lago Di Garda. In the afternoon we went to the hotel and we could visit Verona and some historic places like Arena, Romeo’s and Julieta’s house… We overnight there in the Arena Albergo and the next day we went to Venecia and we walked a lot. There we saw the most important places of this curious city like st. Marco's catherdral, the canals, ponte Rialto... and we ate a lot of pizza and pasta.

The next day we took a train and we travelled to Firenze. We visited the city for example the Duomo, ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Michaelangelo's David... On Thursday we visited the Uffizi, where there's the Born of the Spring and other famous pictures. Later we entered the Duomo and we went up the cupula. We had lunch, we visited the Academy and we had some free time. I used this time to buy some souvenirs. On Wednesday we arrived at Firenze, where we stayed two more days, Firenze is what I liked the most. The Vecchio Bridge and the academy, where we saw David and some sculpture.

The last day we spent the morning in Lucca how was a very beautiful and simple place, surrounded by a wall, with a lots of small and old streets. Then we took the bus and we went to Pisa. We had lunch. There, we saw the leaning tower, the cathedral or Duomo of Pisa and its baptistery. We took a lot of photos of ourselves trying to hold the tower, they are really original. Some people climbed the dome and saw incredible views. We ate pasta or pizza almost every day.
And then at 7 o’clock we went to the airport. We had dinner in there and we hope our flight. During we hope the flight was half an hour late, then half an hour more and finally a quarter. We were near where we set for hope there were another group of Catalans with the same ages from  Llagostera and for this thing the hope wasn't heavy. With they we sing, meet and spend a very good time.

So all in all, It was one of my best trips ever. I think one week it's a very short time… but we all had a very good time together and now our friendship is bigger than ever, so it’s a very good experience and very useful.

Favourite Relative

  • Who is your favourite relative?
  • What kind of the person is her/his?
  • What is so special about him/her?
  • What do you like about him/her?
  • Why do you get on well together?
  • Have you got any special story or anecdote involving him/her?

My favourite relative is my mum. She is small and se have curly brown hair. She is really sympathy and empathies.
My mother is very special for me because she always understand me, she love me and she is the person, together with my father that they help me for grow up and make an adult. I like about she her character however we discus for a small and dull thing. We get well when we are together because she is my mum and we have a special relation. I have a special story involving she. One day I went to the Laia's birthday party in her house. I went to play on the street with other friends, front of Laia's house. We run all the time down and up but on time I fall down. I hurt my knees with the floor. My mother run fast and she kissed me on the leg. Then my leg didn't hurt more.

My mother is the best, I love she. I can learn, laugh, cry and sleep with she.

About English experience

In 4th of ESO I think that my English is good. There are different points that help you improve your level. The trips, for example. I went twice to Taizé. In there, there were a lot of people from around the world and they talk in their language. For communication we use English all the time. This helps me a lot and I feel good after that. The mass in there was in English too.

In class the films help you too. To watch films who without subtitles is a good think to improve and you pay more attention.

The external reinforcement helps me in the grammar and listening.

Formal Email

Dear Editor,

I am writing in response to an article I came across in Friday's edition of your newspaper. I was disappointed to read comments stating that travelling by train is a thing of the past. As a pedestrian and a citizen who use the train every day, I would like to point out why travelling by train is not of the past.

Firstly, there is the obvious advantage of communicating between two or more places when you need transport something. Travelling by train can also help your work and for your future.                                                                                             When you apply for a work, you are more likely to get an interview if you can go or travelling another place or town.

Next, studies have shown that students who study or work another place different of their town they usually use it and in the lasts years the number of people how travel by train increased more than 30 % than others years.

Finally, I am due a work in Barcelona after my exams and as soon as I arrive I will be travelling more by train. Travelling is essential for transport something or someone, but I think train is the most use for as well as the car. I therefore suggest you think carefully before printing such comments.

Kind regards,
Maria Planas
